Hello! I'm an editorial leader based in Washington, DC, by way of New York. (🗣️ last name like Dare. It is 🇱🇧.)

I currently serve as a director, planning & special projects at Axios. I lead newsroom-wide strategy across web, newsletters, video and live events — shaping daily coverage while aligning long-term priorities across our National, Local and Pro divisions. In 2025, I was also selected for the Online News Association's Women's Leadership Accelerator, which has brought me valuable & intensive leadership training and coaching in 2026.

I've worked in newspapers, broadcast, startups and digital-native newsrooms — and across text, video and social formats — which has shaped my belief that great journalism requires both strong editorial judgment and strong systems. 😎

• 🗳️ Coordinating our newsroom-wide 2024 election coverage across our National, Local and Pro teams
• 📺 Launching and executive producing "The Axios Show," an interview series with newsmakers across politics, business, tech and culture
• 📧 Editing and writing for web and newsletters, including the flagship AM, PM & Finish Line newsletters
• 👩🏻‍💻 Contributing to strategy for producing, optimizing and delivering excellent journalism across Axios' platforms
• ⚡ Designing and onboarding our newsroom-wide AirTable planning tool
• 🗞️ Experimenting with new tools including live blogs
• 👓 Managing and training editors and reporters on the breaking news team

Before Axios, I worked as a digital editor at CNN Politics, leading digital coverage across assignment, breaking news and occasional features and analysis.

• At NowThis, I helped expand written products at the mobile-first newsroom known for reaching young audiences and learned how to video edit.
• I've also worked at CNBC and began my career as a reporter in the Midwest.

My essays and features have been published at publications including Lapham's Quarterly, Racked, HuffPost, CityLab, The Daily Beast and The Week.

I value mentorship inside and outside the newsroom and volunteered with the premiere writing organization for teenagers in New York City, Girls Write Now, between 2018–2022. I am currently a co-lead of Axios' Women+ ERG.
